Alguses kahtlesime, kas on üldse võimalik hirvi näha, kuid kogemus oli otse vastupidine: igas vaatluskohas olid hirved teele järjest lähemal ja neid oli tõesti PALJU. Oli päris lummav näha neid väljaspool loomaaia kitsaid aedikuid. Ka loomad paistsid olevat inimestega harjunud, tulid isegi uudishimulikult lähemale uudistama. Neid oli igas suuruses ja vanuses, mõnedel ikka väga uhked sarved. Peale retke sõime kohvikus suurepäraseid pirukaid.
