Wing surf training
Wing surf is a variation of water sports, evolved from kite surfing and then developed from windsurfing and paddle surfing. While standing on the board, the surfer holds a wing, which allows the wind to carry them forward. With the invention of the foilboard, it became possible to rise above the water with the board at a small speed, the perfect combination of wing and foil quickly made wing surfing popular.
Wing surf training in winter
While standing on a snowboard or skis, the surfer holds a wing, which allows the wind to carry them forward. With the invention of the foilboard, wing surfing became popular because it allows one to rise above the surface at a low speed. The use of wings is not limited to water sports; it is also used for riding on land, snow, or ice. It is easiest to start in winter, as it is significantly easier to get moving on snow than on water. At the same time, the skills gained on snow can be effectively used when going into the water.
The training includes:
- Overview of wing development and safety
- Weather conditions (wind, directions)
- Professional terminology and description
- Setting up the inflatable wing
- Flying the wing (size 4-6 m2)
- Starting to ride with the wing and surfboard/snowboard
- Independent practice time
